Additional Information

My 11th Symphony - The Great Adventure - was commissioned by the National Scout and Guide Symphony Orchestra with funding from Arts England in celebration of the centenary of the International Scout Association. It received both its first recording and world premiere under my direction at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, in 2007. Subsequent incomplete performances were given at the 02 Arena, London in 2007 and St Mary's Cathedral, Edinburgh, in 2008.

The work includes arrangements of music by Herman Darewski, Paul Rubens and Ralph Reader.

There are four movements:

1. Sunrise

2. Be Prepared

3. Portrait of 'BP'

4. The Gang's All Here!
