Additional Information

This work was written in 2011 in response to a commission from the tuba soloist,  Dr Chris Combest, and premiered by him at the 2012 International Tuba and Euphonium Conference in Linz, Austria. It is based on the 8th mode (hyper-mixolydian) setting of the psalm,  De Profundis, for Septuagint Sunday.
