Additional Information

Written in 2012, Serenity is for clarinet and cello.  The piece was inspired by seeing the painting ‘Giverny Revisited’ by Raisy Derzie, an impressionistic painting of part of Claude Monet’s garden in Giverny.  The music conjures up the feeling of peace and serenity suggested by the painting.
