3. Wandering tune with 5ths and 3rds
These 3 short pieces are dedicated to the memory of my teacher and friend James Iliff, with much love and gratitude. The titles of the pieces give an indication of their content and I do not think further programme notes are really necessary. Incase anyone may be interested, however, the 2nd piece has elements of serialism, though it is by no means "strict", and the wandering tune of the 3rd piece is supported by a sequence of 8 5ths in the bass: B-flat, E-flat, B-flat, F, A-flat, C, D-flat, E.
