Rondo for Orchestra
This composition reworks music from my late teenage years - hence its title. The opening upbeat motif of the rondo theme is anticipated in a short introduction
(in cellos and basses), and this motif reappears elsewhere, for example in the accompaniment to theme B. The overall form is
Introduction - A (rondo theme) - B - A - C - A - D - E - A - B - D - Coda (based on A)
Composed as a student work in 1971. Lightly revised in 2022.
