This piece was written as a spontaneous response to the 2020 coronovirus lockdown. The tam-tam suggests the Eastern origin of the virus; the temple block was the nearest Sibelius 7 sound that I could find to a hand clap, and I was curious to investigate the Sibelius 7 synthesiser sound. A good digital or electronic organ, preferably a Hammond organ with a slow Leslie speaker, could be used to substitute for the synthesiser. Alternatively, the piece could be performed as a piece of pure electronic music.
