The Kind Teacher.
This piece was written in memory of my first piano teacher. Unlike most of the adults who attempted to teach me just after the War when I was very young she was kind, gentle, understanding, and considerate. She was the one who inspired me to become a musician.
The first performance of this piece was given by Jolyon Laycock at the Severnside Composer Alliance New Music Day on the 22nd of February 2020, held at the Bristol Music Club.
