The first movement of a short suite of three dances for harp, (bass) clarinet and violin inspired by the story of Persephone. The second movement, Demeter, is to be followed by a third - Hecate.

Kore is not overtly programmatic in any way except, perhaps, in terms of the general mood and conclusion.
