Additional Information
Caroline de Lannoy is interested in the potential of language and sound to interpret a place or experience. The work ‘Warm Cool’ is about the relationship between words and its equivalent in the visual and acoustic realm. The words are used as a sculptural medium for interventions in spaces to make sense of the world. Carefully measured and adjusted these fragments comment on aspects of communication, vision, and any specific sites. The composition explores the human voice and human emotion as a multi-faceted instrument.
The sound work 'warm/cool' is written, performed and produced by Caroline de Lannoy.
