Sisyphus Victimised

Additional Information

Sisyphus Victimised

The gods had condemned Sisyphus to ceaselessly rolling a rock to the top of a mountain, whence the stone would fall back of its own weight. They had thought with some reason that there is no more dreadful punishment than futile and hopeless labor. (Albert Camus)

Sisyphus Victimised (2013), was commissioned by the London Symphony Orchestra, as part of a 2-year residency with the orchestra ('LSO Soundhub' scheme). Premiered by players of the LSO, conducted by Daniel Cohen at LSO St Luke's, London on January 2014. Videos made by Kyveli Anastasiadi.
