Sonnet 18 was written for the English Poetry and Song Society Shakespeare competition held in 2015 in celebration of the tri-centenary of the Shakespeare's death.
It was first performed by Gordon Pullin at the Bristol Music Club in September 2015.
"Three Shakespeare Sonnets" was first performed as a complete set by the composer accompanied by Alistair Dawes at Bristol Music Club Friday 21 October 2016
