Additional Information
This piece was written as a special birthday present for composer, guitarist and pianist Keith Cole, erstwhile and much esteemed colleague in the 1990s: it is based on his piece "In The Magpie Hills". Scattered throughout the piece are references to works by favourite composers (including Brahms and Schubert - the latter which came out of the blue), the whole ending in a blissful paean. To the best of the composer's knowledge, no public performance has been given of this piece since it was written in 1998.
