"Last Drop" was being completed as my youngest sister was in the last stages  alcohol abuse, and is dedicated to her. It was a major re-working of a series of sketches that had lain dormant for some time. There was no overall plan, it being a series of short suite-like sections primarily derived from heavily mutated fragments of earworms from my youth: Bossa Novas, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Tijuana Brass, Frank Zappa, Grateful Dead and others. Like Proust's Madeleine, it only takes a few notes to bring back a lost world.
