Stephen Daltry

Biography

Stephen Daltry gained a First in Music at Christ Church College Canterbury, and a scholarship in Composing to the National Film & TV School. Director Ken Russell, reviewing ’The Lost World of Mr Hardy’ in The Times (30.10.2009) described Stephen’s music as "a gorgeous musical score of violin and cello..breathtaking in its simplicity, beauty and effectiveness”. He’s composed for piano, song cycle, stage and screen, including ‘Alice Through the Looking-Glass’ at the British Library, ‘Did You Dr Crippen?’ with dramatist Brian McAvera, and music for ‘The Hunt’ (BBC2, Cultural Prix Italia’ and BBC’s ‘The 2000 Year Old Computer’ (Grierson Award Nominee).
