Bob Dickinson is a composer drawn to the intersection of simplicity and complexity. Influenced by postminimalism, complexity, and interactions with nature and the sacred, his music navigates diverse landscapes. From solo instrumental works to orchestral and electroacoustic pieces, his compositions explore the dynamic interplay between elemental forces and intricate structures.

From being mentored by composer Dieter Salbert, Bob Dickinson's creative path has traversed postpunk and minimalism, evolving into an outsider voice that references various styles, frequently balanced on the cusp between sound and silence . 

Performances have been received in recent years from a range of artists and ensembles from across the UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, South Africa, and Canada.
