Joy Nkoyo

Biography

Joy Nkoyo is an award-winning vocalist, songwriter, music producer, composer, and pianist from the UK. Her work bridges across multiple genres, creating a unique intersection between worlds.



After attending The BRIT School, she studied Composition and Classical Piano at Trinity Laban. Keen to try her hand at music production, she began writing and producing her own songs. She went on to receive notable acclaim for her songwriting and music production, with nominations for the Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition and Youth Music Awards, praise from a number of online publications including CLASH Magazine and a residency at The Roundhouse in 2019.



As a composer, Joy has been commissioned by the British Music Collection, Spitalfields Music Festival, and Sound and Music, with her music being performed in prestigious UK venues such as King's Place, Southbank Centre, and Lyric Hammersmith.



More recently, Joy has been involved in music Broadcasting with appearances on the BBC Proms and is currently working on her upcoming podcast 'Noise in the Gallery'.
