I’m an artist based in London, England, working in music, sound, writing and performance (mostly).
My work is casual, sensuous, and erotic. It queers systems from the inside. It’s kind of like taking poppers: vaporous and heady, disorientating but pleasurable.
“Gareth’s work is sharp queer activism. It is a contemporary charge of potent intent, amplifying urgent concerns of now with a touch that is at once both considered and well crafted. Highly recommended.” – Robert Pacitti, Director, SPILL Festival of Performance (2007 – 2021)
As well as making solo work, I collaborate with other people. I’m one half of sound art duo CUTTER // NASH with Gemma Nash, and compose scores and sound design for other people’s projects.
I’m hugely grateful to have been supported many people and organisations over the years, including: Arts Council England, British Council, Drake Music, hÅb, HOME, METAL, Mother’s Ruin, Unlimited, SPILL Festival. Cheers.
