Robert Stansfield-Cudworth is an orchestral and instrumental composer whose recent creations include symphonic poems and ballets (inspired by historical, literary, and artistic subjects), and concerti.
His creative practice explores musical evocations of mood, emotion, and narrative, with his interest in symphonic music also embracing theatre and cinema.
Composing since the age of eleven, he studied Music briefly as a History undergraduate at the University of Lancaster (also University of Copenhagen).
Following postgraduate (historical) research, he was Tutor, Associate Lecturer, and Honorary Research Fellow at Lancaster before further (archival) studies at the University of Aberystwyth. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
