Christopher's compositional style is bold, textural and colourful, with numerous influences that include folk music, world music, electroacoustic influences and experimental theatricality. He is inspired by everything from astronomical photography to surrealism, psychadelia and Shakespeare.

He graduated as a Masters in Composition at the Royal College of Music studying under Simon Holt, Joseph Horovitz, Maurizio Malagnini and Gilbert Nouno. He gained first-class honours in music at King’s College London under Joseph Phibbs, Rob Keeley and Ed Nesbit.

He has previously worked with the British Sinfonietta, Heath Quartet, Trio Tritium, King’s College Chorus, the Imperial War Museum Choir, the Constanza Chorus, the Ensemble Novus Orchestra, the Helios Opera Company, the And So Forth Opera Company, the Azalea Ensemble, orchestras at the Royal College of Music, pianist Mary Dullea and Fretwork. He was also recently accepted as part of the ‘Adopt A Composer’ Scheme run by Making Music, in partnership with Sound and Music and Radio 3.

Christopher has also written music for several film scores, that have featured at the Cannes Short Film Corner, the BFI, the Barbican Centre and London Fashion Week.

Christopher is also co-creative director of the contemporary music ensemble ‘Echoshed’.
