Otto received his BA Music with Honours from the University of Bristol in 2018. He discovered his passion for music at a young age, gaining a place at the Junior Department of the Royal College of Music aged nine where he specialised in the Recorder, Oboe, and Voice. Alongside this classical training he spent his formative years learning the Bass Guitar with a special interest in extended range and fretless instruments. As a seasoned multi-instrumentalist Otto has received formal training on many other instruments including Drums, Keys, and Tabla. Otto is versed in both live arranging and music production. In 2018 he won the final year prize in Studio Composition at the University of Bristol for his extended composition Sleep. Alongside Studio Composition other areas of focus at university included Performance, African-American music, and general Musicological studies.
