Song for SATB choir and Piano which tells the story of early rail.

This song tells the story of primitive rail from the coal mines of England and Wales to India, Japan, America and now all around the world people are boarding trains. 

Cornishman, Richard Trevithick invented the first working railway steam locomotive, which made its historic maiden journey on February 21, 1804. The "Penydarren" locomotive successfully hauled 10 tons of iron, 5 wagons, and 70 men nearly 10 miles from the Penydarren Ironworks to the Merthyr-Cardiff Canal in South Wales. 

The first passenger steam train "Locomotion No.1" was built by George Stephenson and his son Robert which departed from Stockton & Darlington Station on 27th September 1825.

This work was composed and published in January 2025 in 200th anniversary year of the above.
