Otto Hashmi
Biography
Otto Hashmi is an artist, performer, and composer from London, UK. As a recorder player he focuses on exploring the merging points of popular and classical contexts. He is currently taking postgraduate advanced instrumental studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama on Recorder. He has worked as MD and session musician for artists such as Suzi Wu, Denzel Himself, Huxlxy, Honess Jones. His bass and electric guitar performances have been included in a number of works including the score of ‘Kill Chain’ (2019) starring Nicholas Cage, for composer Mario Grigorov. In 2018 he won the final year prize in Studio Composition at the University of Bristol for his extended composition Sleep.
