Charlie Jefferson is a composer and music producer from coastal East Lothian in Scotland, his home for over 20 years.

His training as a classical and folk guitarist collided with the world of electronic music production in the late 1990s. Ever since, his work has explored the connection of these diverse fields. Since graduating from the University of Glasgow in 2000, Charlie has enjoyed collaborating with film-makers and visual artists, fascinated by the power that music has to transform and to elevate visual mediums.

With a background as a successful television composer, in recent years Charlie has begun to collaborate with talented directors in the field of feature film productions. A versatile composer, his current work is interested in concepts of landscape, both internal and external. His compositions are guided by an improvisational and collaborate spirit and the principal that emotion leads the way. The resulting work, an emotive blend of rootsy acoustica, orchestral instrumentation and minimal electronica, has proven popular with award winning film makers worldwide.
