Two variations for piano, Bb clarinet and flute, in 3/4 time based on Bach's Prelude 1 in C : Variation 1 is quite standard using exactly the same chord progressions as Bach's original but rewritten in 3/4 time; Variation 2 goes further, being in a more modern idiom and extending the 3 beat idea to allotting 3 bars to each chord change. (Each Variation could be programmed as an individual item.)
