A Sweet Call
Instrumentation
Rhodes piano or grandpiano
Additional Information
Composed on 2008 (rev.2009-2011)
This piece can be performed either with a Rhodes or a grandpiano. It is part of the collection Prophandances which features a brand new style called "Molecular Jazz" by the composer himself. Molecular Jazz is a very colorful, rhythmical and highly contaminated jazz music treating genres such as acid-jazz, deep house, lounge, fusion, funk, latin and grunge as they were classic large form genres, with pretty much the same point of view of Chopin, Janacek, Bartok and Kodaly on folk music of their own respective countries. Yet here the "country" is the world with its huge variety of pop musical genres.
The collection Prophandances is dedicated to the pianist Fausto Bongelli.
