These songs were commissioned by Tracy Keeling and The Rose Theatre, Southbank, to form part of the performance of Keeling's work Pawnography, which won 'Best Play' in The Fringe Awards, 2011. Regular intonation is toyed with through the use of an Indian Shruti and a prepared piano in the first and third pieces, while the second is the wedding/funeral song sung at those points in the play.
