Fait Accompli was written for and premiered at the Montrose Composers' Club debut concert entitled MCCI as part of the Profound Sound festival 2016. www.montrosecomposersclub.com

It includes a 'performance art' element where a silent performer places glass and china ornaments on a hand wound conveyor belt and slowly sends them 'over the edge' where upon they smash into a bucket below. This is an unusual piece for me, containing no vocals and only a very dark kind of humour. It is an exploration of the feelings one has when given a fait accompli and explores the fears I have of my own mortality.
