Additional Information
A Map to Nowhere is an installation that emerged from the Liminal Lands project, which explored the idea of liminality and thresholds within the context of the border between the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. The installation is inspired by Isobel's personal experience of this landscape and journey, and explores themes of personal mapping and psycho-geography. The audio consists of sections of a binaural recording of the Liminal Lands durational performance in The Sonic Arts Research Center's Sonic Lab, combined with spoken word and field recording works Isobel created for the piece.
The installation was shown at SARC in May 2010, and UP THE WALL in October 2010.
