Sound and Music is seeking a curator for its fourth online exhibition with the Google Cultural Institute. The exhibition will be on the theme of International Women’s Day, scheduled to go live in time for the day itself on Sunday 8th March 2015. The exhibition will involve a period of research working with archive staff at Heritage Quay, University of Huddersfield (including one expenses paid visit) and should focus on contents of the Collection that respond in some way to the theme. Applications are welcome from composers at any stage in their career. Confidence in working with digital media online is essential (no technical editing or specific curatorial skills etc. required). Sound and Music will be on hand to answer any technical enquiries throughout the process.
About the Collection: The British Music Collection is a remarkable archive consisting of 40,000 scores and recordings from 20th and 21st century British composers. It is based at the University of Huddersfield and made accessible worldwide via a new online archive.
