Biography
I am an artist whose interests lie in sound, storytelling, voice and the art of making. I explore ideas using different media and have forged many successful collaborations working with other artists, performers, writers and directors in a variety of settings.
I have composed music for media and performing arts, and am a singer-songwriter and one half of post-minimalist duo Poiesis. In 2012 I co-founded the co-operative production company Open Audio Ltd and have produced radio for the BBC and international networks. I regularly contributes to a wide variety of arts industry events; in recent years this has included judging the Ivor Novello Awards and BBC Audio Drama Awards.
I was awarded a PhD by Bournemouth University in 2017 and am an experienced researcher, facilitator and mentor: I have taught at several universities, run workshops for professionals and community groups, and am frequently called upon as a guest speaker, hosts include: The Slade school of Fine Art; The Institute for Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship; IRCAM in Paris and The BBC Current Affairs Department.
