Born in Caerphilly (1974), Roland Giles Mumford was a Chorister at Llandaff Cathedral under Dr Michael Smith who also initially taught him the piano. He was taught organ by Hazel Gedge at Brecon Cathedral. He studied Metallurgy & The Science of Materials at Pembroke College Oxford, where he is currently the Alumni Music Ambassador.
