Biography

1948 born in Sidcup, south-east London

1968-71 studied composition at the Royal Academy of Music (London) under Harrison Birtwistle

1974-2000 Karlheinz Stockhausen's principle copyist.

1977 moved to Cologne

1978 performance of Vectors at the Donaueschingen Festival

1981 first personal computer (Apple II). I start programming.

1982 performance of beyond the symbolic by the Ensemble Intercontemporain in Paris

1987 performance of The Innocent Bystander by the BBC Singers at St John's Smith Square

1993 the Stockhausen-Verlag gets computerized. Change from hand-copying to computer printing -- using a combination of own software with commercially available programs (Finale, FreeHand etc.).

1999 first website

2000 Stockhausen terminates our long-standing agreement. Its a long story.
