Biography

Virginia Aurora Scott: composer, pianist, improviser, teacher born in Glasgow, Scotland 1948. Graduated at Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama Glasgow 1968 in Piano and Cello. Further study in pianoforte in Italy St Cecilia/ Rome and privately with Carlo Vidusso/ Milan. Compositionally self taught with meaningful input from Robin Barr (RSAMD ) and Gywn Pritchard.

Varied musical experience as Mellotronist for Beggars Opera Progressive Rock band, songwriter/ session musician for British Lion Music, tutor of piano, cello and composition at own practise and Renfrewshire County Council Music Dept. Scotland and Trinity College Carmarthen St Davids University of Wales.
