
Biography
Andy Harris was born in Worcester UK. In August 1992, he moved to Poland. Since then he has lived in Krakow, Warsaw, Wroclaw and Łódź. Andy has composed and published music in many diverse styles and genres including instrumental, choral, jazz, commercial, musicals, and songs and instrumental pieces for children.
Andy has written a number of compositions for piano, four hands. A collection of these were recorded in July 2012, on a CD titled Wasteland (DUX 0327). As well as two commercial albums, Lost and Eclectic Alternatives, he is currently preparing an album of music for Flute, Oboe and Piano titled Łódź Regeneration.
His music for children includes Jazzin’ Around for recorder ensemble, piano and percussion, the theme music for two TV cartoons, King Tut and The Pooch Patrol , songs and instrumentals for 5 Plays for Children. Surprise, Hurray, Domino, and some additional music for the Polish edition of Tiger 1, and the musicals Pinocchio, The Nightingale, Red, and The Frightened Dragon. He recently completed Riding the Bubble Bus, with a text by the American playwright Kendra Louka. Other works for the stage include incidental music for the play Cuba, and an unfinished opera about the Roman emperor Heliogabal.
