Call for curator for Sound and Music Google Cultural Institute Online Exhibition
Delve deep into the Collection, including a research trip to the physical archive itself at Heritage Quay, Huddersfield.

Deadline: noon Monday 2nd November

Produced by: Sound and Music

Sound and Music are seeking a curator to design their fifth exhibition with the Google Cultural Institute, delving deep into the British Music Collection – home to 60,000 scores and recordings by contemporary composers.

Previous exhibitions have been themed by Sound and Music, with topics including International Women’s Day, Christmas and the New Voices composers. However, this opportunity is an ‘Open Call’, allowing curious music-minded curators the freedom to choose their own direction, follow their own leads, and tell the stories they are inspired by.

Check out the exhibition for International Women's Day 2015 created by multi-media artist Poulomi Desai.

The successful curator will spend time in the physical archive in Huddersfield, picking out work to share with the world through a digital exhibition, hosted by the Google Cultural Institute. They can also make use of the revamped digital version of the British Music Collection, tying contemporary composers and their work into a wider story. Apply Now.
