Kate studied Music and English Literature at Warwick University, then took an MA in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University. She was Deputy Head of the Bristol Arts and Music Service, Assistant Head.of the Wiltshire Music Service and conducts children's choirs and teaches singing. She had an 85-strong Male Voice choir for ten years whom she wrote for, and now accompanies a ladies' choir whom she also writes for. She runs training courses for primary school music teachers and works with children and adults. She welcome any commissions for choirs or schools.
