Additional Information

This is the main piece written on my Summer NYO course, and in many ways a culmination of my NYO year. The theme was recent scientific breakthroughs, and having just completed my physics A level I chose to write about the weird and wonderful world of neutrinos, exploring their quantum state and speed in an abstract way through my music.

The ensemble was 8 strings and multitrack electronics, the latter of which I chose to utilise by making loads of recordings of my voice and layering them into six groups which I could then "mix" live.

This recording is live from the foyer of Birmingham Symphony Hall, with the strings spread out around the space.
