Additional Information

This piece was written for the RNS Mozarts of Tomorrow competition, where the brief was to write a piece for chamber orchestra inspired by a piece of Mozart's music in some way. I chose to write the piece very broadly around my experience of performing a Mozart piano concerto, which happened almost two years ago, using fragments of the actual musical material as well as its structure, in combination with my feelings about the experience of performing, to create the piece. By nature of the brief it isn't hugely reflective of what I would choose to do with an orchestra given free reigh but it was certainly an interesting exercise in creativity.

This recording is taken from the workshopping of my piece by the RNS.
