Radoslaw Rudnicki

Biography

Shortlisted in 2008, experimental composer and sound designer, who was born in 1982 in Rzeszow (Poland). In 2005 he graduated there with Bachelors Degree. Later that year he was granted a scholarship from SAAS (Student Awards Agency for Scotland) and was accepted into European Economy and Management program at the University of Abertay Dundee. However, while studying there, he decided to attend to all music related modules in Computer Arts faculty simultaneously. He graduated in May 2006 with an Honours Degree. The following year he was admitted into Masters by Research program in Music Technology at the University of York and graduated in March 2008. Radoslaw Rudnicki has been composing since 1997. He had created pieces in various genres as Koshi Mazaki. Radoslaw produced many remixes for Nude Music (Germany), Katapulto (Poland) and Tidy Kid (USA) among others. He worked as a sound designer and music composer with www.pixeloza.com. As a result of that cooperation website www.koshimazaki.com has been designed. His most recent project involved interactive audio visual performance which engaged audience and their Bluetooth technology enabled mobile phones as a control tool. It was made in collaboration with www.hedonskate.com at the University of York and exposed during Area10MediaLab in London in April 2008. At present, Radek is producing music and playing with local musicians. His latest interests include interactive audio, which he hopes to use as a tool for exploring music and breaking barriers of the undiscovered sounds and visions.www.radek.koshimazaki.com
