Mark Rossi

Biography

Mark Rossi is a Composer/Sound Artist currently based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Originally trained as an artist, he produces works from a variety of sound media for electroacoustic and instrumental composition. His intention is to create original work based upon unique strategies for music composition and performance practice.

Awarded a Ph.D. in Music at the Sonic Arts Research Centre, Belfast, Mark has performed in conferences and at venues in Europe and the U.K. including the SuperCollider Symposium, at Ausland, Berlin, the Digital Research in the Humanities and Arts at Winchester University, and the Sound Thought Festival, at the CCA, Glasgow.

A participant of the Sound and Music New Voices programme of 2017, Mark was Artist-in-Residence in the Portfolio development programme, working in partnership with the Ludi Quartet Kernow and the Academy of Music and Theatre Arts (AMATA), Falmouth University.
