I am an artist from Norwich, UK, based in Huddersfield. I have been making music since beginning my studies at Brunel University, London in 2010, where I studied vocal performance. I currently write instrumental and ensemble music for others to play, as well as performing my own work and collaborative projects with others. I completed my Masters Degree in Composition by Research at the University of Huddersfield in 2015. During my studies I put on concerts for local and visiting composers and performers with artist Stephen Harvery under the name of 'Bacon Jam Collective'. I was also part of the Huddersfield based arts organisation U N N A W A Y, and a shared studio space in an old dance studio with several local artists. In the last year I have been involved in making experimental sound work with the Prague based Project 'Libat', which included a workshop at the University of Huddersfield's 'Electric Spring' Festival and a summer course at Prague College, CZ. I am a member of a new duo Kneeling Coats with artist Jorge Boehringer, recently playing our first set at Prague Headphone Festival. I have just released my first limited edition tape titled 'Bathroom Showroom' with artist Sarah Boulton on my label Nun of None Fruit, 1st June 2017.
I currently teach vocals for Musica Kirklees and am very excited to begin creating new music in schools as part of the New Voices project with Sound and Music and hcmf.
